Some of my early inspirations stemmed from Pop Art sculpture, Funk Ceramics and the Crazy Comix of the 1960’s Also, I always loved the critters & vehicles of Brent Kington, metals master artist.
I imagine discovering these toys under the Christmas tree. My journeys inspired many playful subjects: palm trees and flamingos from Florida, lobsters from Maine, snail cups from Pilchuck’s Rain Forest and Tortoise Goblet from the Sonora Desert.
